Fall State Meeting

Welcome Back!  This year, the Fall State Meeting will be hosted by Western Boone High School on November 2nd.

Welcome Back!!!! Another school year is well under way.  Western Boone Sunshine Society will be hosting the Sunshine Fall State Meeting on Saturday November 2, 2019.  Our 2019-2020 theme is “Sunshine: A Gift to
Others.”Registration will be from 8:15-9:00 AM.  We will have an area set-up to take group pictures of each chapter present.  You might even want to take “selfies”. The Indiana State Sunshine Fall meeting will begin at 9:00 AM with the welcome and opening ceremony.  We will have a fun mixer and then our guest
Our guest speaker this year will be Wilda Knecht, a former WeBo graduate and & WeBo Sunshine member.  She was a tri-sport athlete and graduated from Hanover  College.  Come and listen to her motivational talk about “The Gift Within”.  Western Boone will then share some of our own
“Gifts to Others”.
A light lunch will be served at 11:30.  The lunch will be a potato bar/ salad bar/ dessert bar.  Following lunch, we will have some musical entertainment, hand-out some door prizes, and have a closing ceremony.  The day will conclude at 2:00 PM.
The cost for each girl and sponsor will be $25.  This will cover lunch & a T-shirt and small gift.  Please let us know number & sizes of T-shirts.  Be prepared to share some of your “gifts” (a poster/PowerPoint with pictures and stories of gifts shared with your community).
If you need to come the night before, there are 4 hotels off the 3rd exit to Lebanon. (Holiday Inn Express, Econo Lodge, Quality Inn & Suites, America’s Best Value Inn, & Motel 6).

Sunshine Chapters that attend the Indiana State Sunshine Fall Meeting with a sponsor and at least 4 members receive a $200 scholarship from the State Sunshine Board. Each Sunshine Chapter awards the scholarship based on their chosen criteria. Click here for a list of recipients
